Born and raised in Traverse City, MI, Captain Ski has spent more than 20 years exploring and mastering the waters of Grand Traverse Bay and beyond. His love for fishing started early, and after years of taking friends and family out on the water, he discovered that sharing those moments—whether it’s someone’s very first fish or a hard-fought trophy catch—was what truly fueled his passion. That joy ultimately inspired him to turn his lifelong hobby into a professional charter business.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned angler, he takes pride in giving clear instruction, creating a fun atmosphere, and making sure every trip is safe, memorable, and successful.
Off the water, Ethan enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family. You’ll often find him hiking the scenic trails of Grand Traverse County, camping, or relaxing by the water. In the off-season, he’s an avid bowhunter, cross-country skier, and outdoor enthusiast who embraces every chance to be outside.
The Fleet
BIG RED
Our 20’ Lund Fisherman Deep V is built for both stability and comfort. The Deep V hull cuts smoothly through choppy water, providing a steady ride even on windier days. Inside, the boat offers plenty of seating and space to spread out, making it perfect for both serious anglers and families.
The boat is licensed to carry up to 4 passengers, though trips with 2–3 guests tend to be the most comfortable and allow for an optimal fishing experience.

While prime salmon season peaks in August and September, excellent fishing opportunities are available throughout the summer, making Traverse City and Northern Lake Michigan the perfect destination for anglers of all skill levels.
